Meet Mary-Lynne

About Me

Holding Bachelor of Nursing (BN) and Registered Nurse (RN) credentials, coupled with experience in Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) and Labour and Delivery, I have had the unique and wonderful opportunity to support mothers, babies and their families during childbirth and in the critical newborn period.

After a challenging birth experience of my own, I recognized the need for non-judgmental and evidence-based support, advice and assistance in the weeks and months following the birth of a baby. My personal experience, together with a passion and desire for helping others, led me to complete DONA’s formal Postpartum Doula training and begin supporting families as a Postpartum Doula in 2016.

My background and experience in nursing helps strengthen the non-medical support and care I am equipped to offer as a Postpartum Doula. I adhere to the DONA International Doula Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics. Aligned with the DONA Code of Ethics are my own values, best captured as what is RIGHT – Respect, Integrity, Good Health, and Trust. In this regard, I am committed to doing what is best for you and your family and to ensuring my core competencies are continuously enhanced through professional learning and development.

I am currently accepting new clients and I welcome the opportunity to  support you and your family.  Please contact me for a free consultation.

Sincerely,

Mary-Lynne Stauble
